How learners sign in, how staff assign courses, and how it's all tracked

Our clinical platform runs Moodle 4.5, a long-term support release, in the AWS environment described on the companion one-pager. It holds 26 courses in English, 23 of them also in Spanish, plus a staff resource library.

Your tablet checklist

  • LiveNo Google sign-in: no Google or social login options
  • LiveNo email accounts: accounts come from the inmate ID at launch, with no self-registration
  • LiveNo shop or payment screens for learners
  • LiveNo clickable emails or links: messaging, blogs and chat off; no outside links in course content

Sign-in (SSO)

  • LiveTablet sign-in plugin: today the tablet passes a learner ID at launch, and the account is opened or created automatically
  • LiveNo self-registration: learner accounts come only from the tablet sign-in or from staff
  • LiveStaff can look up a learner by ID
  • Ready to set upFor HomeWAV, a signed launch with LTI 1.3 (Moodle's built-in "Publish as LTI tool") or OAuth 2 / OpenID Connect
